New Miami Horror is always something to celebrate. This Punks Jump Up remix is ace. Glad to see that Baby Monster is also featured on the Moon Theory EP. If you like Yacht, sign up the Miami’s Fanpage for the Yacht remix as well.

Chateau Marmont‘s Niburu EP dropped, featuring the track “Heliochrome,” following up the Solar Apex EP. Chalk it up as another win for Institubes.

Argh! I slept on the Toro Y Moi gig last night at Empty Bottle. Shucks. Though the Chicago leg was performed without the accompaniment of Caribou – still sad. This is “Blessa,” from their debut LP, Causer Of This. Beautiful.

I also have another Delphic remix that seemed to have slipped the radar. Peaceful & easy. Never too late for another “Doubt” remix, via Hanssen.

Wow. Lot’s of hoopla over the following track! Monarchy‘s “Love Get Out Of The Way” got a glittery little makeover by DFA’s Holy Ghost. The single comes out July 26th. More remixes will come your way if you sign up.

Copped this from CreamTeam. Azari & III‘s remix of Booka Shade‘s “Bad Love.” I saw them close down the DEMF Red Bull stage, when my girl & I jumped backstage for the first 3 songs. Then got booted – not VIP enough I guess.

The Australian Modular shoegaze rockstars, Van She, have hit the blogs pretty hard in the past week, this time releasing “Strangers” to follow up the success of “Cat and the Eye”. For “Strangers” we have ourselves the original as well as their own edit, cementing their status as some of the most diverse and original artists out there worth paying attention to. I’ve been very focused on ‘em since their incredible remixes last year, including Feist, Dragonette & The Klaxons, among a few other mind bending works that still get massive play worldwide. Australians can look forward to a summer of tour dates across their continent, while I will do what I can to save up for a plane ticket… Enjoy these newer Van She releases.

Big thanks to Fuck You On Friday for the Pendulum remix. Probably one of the last projects that I would expect from the Van She Tech Team, I’m really digging it- especially coming in the wake of one of the more intense performances I’ve seen by the D&B legends. When I said that I felt like I need some sort of therapy from their set, I wasn’t kidding. This remix is of “Propane Nightmares” off of Pendulum’s latest album, In Silico. The I Am Finn remix is also something worth taking a listen to as well. I Am Finn is another electro pop-star from the UK that is making waves as of late. Head over to his myspace to check out some of his more recent releases.

Datarock is a show that I regret missing two weeks ago when I had the chance. But never fear! Datarock is playing all over the country until early July, Chicago in mid June at The Vic, even dipping up to Canada for a quick stay. Good stuff. As far as their work goes, “Computer Camp Love” is a more dated song of theirs, stemming back to 2006, but has all the raw and drab realism that you might find in a Teenagers track, parodying life as much as it does celebrate it with music. That is probably still my favorite of their releases to date, though it is so hard to overlook “Fa Fa Fa”- especially when you have Miami Horror throwing in the disco house, new wave element that just about everything is in dire need of these days.
